Vibram FiveFingers Selling Out Fast

The Vibram Fivefingers is the latest option for those who prefer running barefoot than using a running shoe. During the last years the amount of barefoot runners has increased exponentially, to the point that Vibram may have a hard time keeping up with the demand for these barefoot running shoes.

Despite becoming just recently a sensation for runners, this Vibram shoe was designed and developed about 6 years ago by Robert Fliri.

Why barefoot running? Over the years people have come to realize that running with no shoes is the best option to both add stability to the body and even to prevent problems runners might encounter, such as for example plantar fasciitis.  As a matter of fact many people have been able to recover from plantar fasciitis by adopting this way of running.

The Italian company sells the Vibram Fivefingers for a cost that varies between $75 and $125. Runners report that right now it has become very difficult to find this item; as a response Vibram is expanding their operations to be able to meet the high demand.
