"Inní mér syngur vitleysingur" by Sigur Rós
The song "Inní mér syngur vitleysingur" (aka "Within Me A Lunatic Sings") is simply a terrific pop song that stands far above the ordinary with it's melodic dreamlike feel. Sung in their native Icelandic, it builds with urgency until it's feels like the song is going to burst wide open. Not being fluent in Icelandic, I'm not entirely sure what the lyrics mean, yet that's part of the charm. The song can mean anything to anyone. You can find this track on Sigur Rós's album "Meo suo i eyrum vio spilum endalaust"(2008) or their compilation album "We Play Endless"(2010).
