Paul Gray was the bassist for the American heavy metal band Slipknot. He was found dead in an Iowa hotel room the morning of May 24. Formed in 1995, Slipknot has released 5 albums (4 studio, 1 live) and has sold over 14 millions records worldwide so far. They have been nominated 7 times for the Best Metal Performance Grammy, and won in 2006 for the song "Before I Forget" from Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (2005).
