Born in Chicago, IL in 1940, Herbie Hancock has released over 50 albums and is considered the who's who of jazz improvisation. His latest work is called "The Imagine Project" (2010) and features a ray of talented artists from around the globe. The track "Tamatant Tilay/Exodus" features K'naan (Somali-Canadian), Los Lobos (Mexican-American) and Tinariwen (African-Mali) in a meshing of African rhythms with the ska strokes of Jamaican reggae. The World beats as one.
