He was born in 1943, and died in 1992.

Their most famous songs include, "Wild Thing," "Anyway That You Want Me," "Love Is All Around" and "With a Girl Like You." "Wild Thing," "With a Girl Like You" and Love Is All Around" each sold over one million copies, and were awarded gold discs.

The Troggs formed in 1964 and were signed by the manager of The Kinks, Larry Page in 1965. They recorded on Page's Page One Records. Page also leased them to CBS for their first single "Lost Girl."

The Troggs Billboard Hot 100 chart topper "Wild Thing" is ranked #257 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, and was an influence on garage rock and punk rock.

Many of their hits have also been successful as covers, such as Jimi Hendrix with "Wild Thing," Wet Wet Wet and REM with "Love Is All Around," and Spiritualized with "Anyway That You Want Me."
Iggy Pop, The Buzzcocks and The Ramones have said the Troggs influenced their sound.

Bond occasionally wroite and sang Troggs tracks himself, though these tended to be obscure album cuts and B-sides that weren't remotely in the same league as the band's best efforts, In 1969, Ronnie released a solo record "Anything For You."
