The ceremony, which was planned for June 18th, was cancelled by Harris who got engaged to Hefner on Christmas Eve 2010.
Speaking to CNN's Piers Morgan, Hefner said: "I think the real problems began a couple of months before the wedding... We went to London, about five or six weeks before, and things did not seem quite the way they ought to be. She was preparing a song for the first time and I think her focus was on that.
Although he says he didn't see it coming, he did reveal that Harris expressed some doubts about the wedding the week before the ceremony.
He explained: "The previous weekend, she and I went to a jazz festival, and when we got back from the festival, we sat down and she said that she was really having some serious reservations about the marriage - not about the relationship, but about the marriage,"
"I said, 'Look, the marriage is not the important part to me, the relationship is important. If you're happier single, that's okay with me, we can work out the details'. That was only half the story obviously, because the next morning, without my knowledge, she was packing the bags."
85-year-old Hefner said that he believed it was time for him to settle down and thought Harris was the one. "You know, I was ready to settle down, I figured it was about time!"

The price of a freedom is very expensive. People sometimes give up his life for status as a free man. Though obviously they were outnumbered and outgunned, but that fact does not make them retreat. Whatever happens, Rochester Castle must keep them maintained.
The year was 1215. British nobles who rebelled forced King John (Paul Giamatti) who they are loathe to acknowledge their freedom as human beings. King John's Magna Carta to be willing to admit. Unfortunately, the Magna Carta claiming means eliminating some of the rights of King John, and it seems this despot did not want it to happen. Initially King John was willing but several months later he reneged on his promise.
King John then collect the mercenaries to subdue the rebellious nobles of this. The only thing that is still a barrier is the Castle of Rochester. The castle is controlled by the rebels and they would not surrender to death. King John had done all the way but the rebels remained unyielding. They are willing to die for independence. Only William de Albany (Brian Cox) and Thomas Marshall (James Purefoy) is going to be the secret weapon of the rebels.

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress Secret (Video)
It's no wonder even the biggest fashion insiders were in the dark about Kate Middleton a.k.a. Duchess Catherine's wedding dress designer. As Us Weekly's Justin Ravitz revealed to ABC News, "Next to the assassination of Bin Laden, this is the most closely guarded international secret in recent memory."
So how did Team Royal Wedding prevent the fashion Twittersphere and Julian Assange alike from figuring it out? By not even telling the dressmakers themselves.
"The lacemakers working on the dress were told that they were simply working on a dress for a period British costume drama," Ravitz said, adding that the majority of the McQueen seamstresses were also unaware of their client when sewing the dress. The only members of the design team who knew of the gown's royal destiny were Sarah Burton, creative director of McQueen, and her most trusted senior designers. Everyone signed non-disclosure agreements, the dress was entirely constructed in a secret room of Buckingham Palace, and as an extra precaution, "Senior members of the house of McQueen were told to straight-out lie and deny if asked pointblank whether Kate Middleton was their client."
So duplicitous, those royal designers.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
American Poet

Music is a special art form in that it touches the soul at a deeper level than most of the other arts. Music can cross language barriers often without translation. Music connects people in ways that the other arts don't. When we are happy, we all have a desire to sing with a joyful voice. When we are sad, our singing gives voice to our melancholy.
In college when I was blue, I would walk along the railroad tracks and sing to myself. I cannot carry a tune, but when alone I will sing to myself. Music moves me at a deep level.
During the last 24 years, I have seen the impact of music on my training classes. I have the participants of my classes sing and dance as part of the class. I am amazed at the power of music to break down barriers and cause people to open up and share their thoughts and feelings.
Many writers and artists listen to music when they are creating. What kind of music do you listen to when you are creating? What music gets your creative juices flowing?
Here is a video of Carrie Underwood inspiring an audience of country and western singers with her rendition of How Great Thou Art.

Cristiano Ronaldo Biography
Born Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro on 5th February 1984 in San Antonio, Funchal Madeira, he was named after Ronald Reagan, the then President of the United States of America because he was his father's favourite actor.
He is constantly creating history which began in 2003 when he was the first Portuguese player to be signed by Manchester United.
When he left the club to go to Real Madrid he clocked up the highest ever transfer fee when Manchester United received £80 million (94 million euros). In addition he was to be paid 11 million euros per year over the next 6 years, making him the highest paid footballer in the world.
More history was created when he became the first football player to win the FIFA Puskás Award which is an honour given out by FIFA for the greatest goal of the year. His goal was a 40 yard strike against FC Porto during a Champions League match which won him the award while he was still playing for Manchester United.
He started out playing football for an amateur team C.F. Andorinha when he was 8-years-old where his father was kit man, Three years later he signed with his local club Clube Desportivo Nacional. Following a title-winning season he went for a three-day trial with football team Sporting CP which subsequently signed the youngster for an undisclosed sum. He then joined up with their other youth players at Academia Sporting, the club's football academy in Alcochete.
At Sporting he became their only team member ever to play for the under 16, 17's, 18's, B team and the first team all in the one season.
At the age of 15 it looked as if his football career might be over before it had begun. Cristiano Ronaldo was found to have a racing heart, the team's staff were told of his condition and his mother gave her authority for him to have a day operation in hospital.
A laser was applied to cauterise the area of the heart causing the problem and he returned to training a few days later.
He was first spotted by Liverpool Manager Gerard Houllier at the age of 16 but the club decided not to take him on as they felt he was too young.
Two years later Sporting beat Manchester United in Lisbon 3-1 and the players were so impressed with the 18-year-old Sporting player they urged Alex Ferguson to sign him.
After the 2002-3 season the he signed a contract with Manchester United for a transfer fee of 15 million euros (£12.24 million). He remained with the Club for six years until Manchester United accepted Real Madrid's offer of £80 million. Cristiano Ronaldo signed a 6-year contract with the La Liga Club and he is also Captain of the Portuguese National Team.
He loves all the trappings of being a successful professional footballer. By the age of 24 he had already clocked up 28 girlfriends and he is currently dating a 25-year-old Russian model Irina Shayk.
Shayk and Ronaldo met while they were both featured for an advertising campaign for the label Armani Exchange and following this they have been together for a year.
In 2010 Ronaldo shocked the world when he announced he had become a father. His son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr was born in June and he said he was to be the sole guardian. He said he was overjoyed to have a son who was living with his mother and sister.

Robin Moore
"To truly own a story, you must fashion it and shape it, as you would a garment, to fit your frame."
American Storyteller, Writer
1950 -
Do you own the stories you tell with your art? Do the stories you tell touch your heart? Do they bring tears to your eyes? Art is about communicating emotion through the stories we tell. Reach deep inside your soul and touch the power of who you are. Show us the love you feel.
During the last thirty years there has been a rebirth of oral storytelling in the United States. Robin Moore has been one of the leaders of this storytelling movement. For me, there is a lot to be said about the oral tradition. Prior to the invention of the printing press, storytelling was how people shared information and entertained each other. And while I love the printed word and average reading about two books a month, I find something exciting about listening to a well told story that makes me laugh and cry.
In the final analysis when we look back across our lives all we have are our memories and our stories. The jobs we hold and the money we make have little value when our days on the planet are coming to a close. As a creative leader, you should mine your experiences for stories to share in your paintings, your poetry and your novels.
Here is Robin Moore talking about story and community.

Pia Toscano: Moving forward I would definitely go in the pop genre with an R&B influence
The day after her elimination, Toscano spoke to the press about her future and dropped a bit of a bombshell, revealing that she is considering doing an R&B influenced album. This is surprising, since she stuck to diva-like ballads during her time on the show and was voted off after attempting Tina Turner’s upbeat ‘River Deep, Mountain High.’
Toscano said, “Moving forward I would definitely go in the pop genre with an R&B influence. I definitely want to have those big, power ballads as well as those dance hits.” It looks like Toscano is not afraid of challenging herself and that she has learned a lot from her ‘Idol’ experience.
Ballads were certainly Toscano’s strength, as well as her comfort zone, on the show. Judge Randy Jackson warns singers to avoid singing songs by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. However, Toscano didn’t heed his advice on the show, saying, “I like to challenge myself, and I like to take risks. Those are singers that I’ve grown up listening to, so I just tried my best with them, and they went over well. So I’m just thankful that everybody enjoyed my performances.”

Helen Mirren was scared of Russell Brand
Dame Helen Mirren thinks Russell Brand is "intimidating".
Although the actress is now good friends with her 'Arthur' co-star she admits she was full of "terrible trepidation" about shooting the film because she had worked with him before and had not gotten to know him properly.
In an interview with Stylist magazine, she said: "I kind of jumped, but with terrible trepidation. Mostly because it was Russell! We had worked on 'The Tempest' together but never really spent time together until this. Russell is quite an intimidating person."
The 65-year-old star was so nervous of the funnyman's big personality she even worried that she would appear "boring" and dated next to him - but when she met him again found she "fell in love" with him.
She explained: "He's so brilliant and rock and roll and I feel so boring and ordinary next to him. So it was quite scary. And I'm not very good at edgy, modern comedy. But in the film meeting I saw this incredibly bright and interesting person making this thing happen -- and I fell in love."
Earlier this year, the Oscar-winning actress admitted she was also "terrified" of Russell's bad boy reputation, not realising he was just as scared of her when they first met because of her impressive career.
He said: "I was frightened before I met her, it made me talk a bit different -- like my breathing changed."

Gwen Araujo, who was born Eddie Araujo, Jr., was murdered by four men in Newark, California. The four men who killed Gwen Araujo, two of whom she had been sexually intimate with. The nature of the murder of Gwen Araujo was brutal and cruel as she was beaten up and strangled at a party before being driven to a location that lied a four hours drive away from the house. After being brutally assaulted, she was buried in a location near the Sierra Nevada mountains and was discovered by the Alameda County Sheriffs’ office when one of the accused led the sheriff to the site of burial two days later.
The movie A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story’ is really a sad movie. My heart bleeds for the sad soul of Gwen that get caught up in peoples ignorance in life. Being different doesn’t mean being wrong or unacceptable in our society, but those who think so should be the one’s unexpected. I’d rather have a minute of something special, than a lifetime of nothing wonderful.

Harvey Pekar, whose autobiographical comic book series "American Splendor" portrayed his unglamorous life with bone-dry honesty and wit, was found dead at home early Monday, authorities said. He was 70.
The cause of death was unclear, and an autopsy was planned, officials said. Pekar had prostate cancer, asthma, high blood pressure and depression, said Michael Cannon, a police captain in suburban Cleveland Heights.
Officers were called to Pekar's home by his wife about 1 a.m., Cannon said. His body was found on the floor between a bed and dresser. He had gone to bed around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in good spirits, his wife told police.
Pekar's ailments were well-known to readers of "American Splendor" comic books, which chronicled the gruff Ohio native's attempts to earn a buck in a world under siege by bureaucracy and idiocy. Pekar started self-publishing his stories in 1976, and became enough of a cult hit to be invited on David Letterman's show several times in the ‘80s.
"I could be a way-worse person than I am," Pekar told the News in 2005 when he released the graphic novel, "The Quitter." "I realize that I'm pretty flawed, but you know - I haven't killed anybody yet."
It wasn't until the 2003 release of the movie, "American Splendor," starring Paul Giamatti as Pekar, that mainstream America really got to know all about the writer's flaws, his bizarre courtship of his beloved wife Joyce Brabner, the adoption of their foster daughter, Danielle, and his heart-breaking struggle with cancer.
"Beneath the well-known gruff exterior, Harvey was a deeply compassionate person and of course, a brilliant mind," said Jonathan Vankin, and editor of Pekar's at Vertigo Comics, via email. "He created, almost single handedly, an entirely new kind of comics and his commitment to what he did was absolute and uncompromising. We've all suffered a huge loss today, in comics of course, but also in American culture."
Not bad for the son of poor Polish immigrants, who was discharged from the Navy after only four weeks and dropped out of college, before landing a mind-numbingly boring civil service job. Somehow he made the mundane seem exotic.
"Harvey lived life and every last detail was written and drawn and published," artist and frequent collaborator Dean Haspiel said. "The best way to honor Pekar now is to read his life, just like he would have wanted you to."
