Prince William chooses Kate’s family over Royal family

Prince William opted out of being with the Royal family on Easter on Sunday by spending time with his fiancee Kate Middleton’s family.

William, 28, was in Berkshire with Kate, 29, while the Queen and other members of the Royal Family went to church at Windsor Castle.

The two had lunch with Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole, at their family home in Bucklebury after attending church nearby on the holiest day in the Christian calendar.

“Prince William is very close to Catherine’s family and he intends to make sure that the couple spend their fair share of time with them at special periods of the year such as Christmas and Easter,” the Daily Express quoted a royal source as saying.

At the Middletons’ five-bedroom home they spent four hours enjoying a family Easter Sunday lunch.

At one point an aide brought in a box wrapped in brown paper. It was not clear whether it was a special wedding gift or a box of chocolate Easter eggs for Kate, her parents and her siblings, Pippa, 27, and James, 24.
