Formed in Philadelphia, PA, in 1987, the critically acclaimed hip-hip/soul jazz band the Roots have released eight full-length albums, and their ninth, "How I Got Over" is available now. The title track featuring Dice Raw has been around since last summer, but was released with little fanfare. It is a cool groove of a song about persevering through difficult circumstances.
