Friday, Eta Aquarid Meteor Shower Reaches Peak

Sky watchers will be treated to spectacular views again. Meteor shower originating from the pieces of Halley'scomet reached its peak after a long period did not appear. Like what?

Eta Aquarid meteor shower is predicted to reach the summit on Friday morning (6 / 5).

According to the Sun and Space Research Division LAPAN Johan Muhammad, stunning scenery can be seen if they meet the ideal conditions, ie dark and moonless sky.

"Rain of meteors can be seen with the naked eye especially is currently located in the new moon with the sky will be darker. Those who want to see this meteor shower could be facing east and looking for a place that minimal light pollution, " he said when interviewed INILAH.COM.

As many as 30-60 meteors will appear every hour. Because the new moon has happened on 3 May, the rain can be seen with perfect conditions. This meteor shower is actually already started to appear from 3-4 days prior to May 6.

But those who are in trouble north of the equator will see this rain. Halley's comet around the sun takes 75 years and will come back past the Earth in the summer of 2061.
